Race Cancelled for 2009.

Sorry folks. I bit off more than I could chew. I'm planning on getting things organized and making this race happen in 2010. I've asked for help and I got it, so the race will go on, just not this year. Thanks.

The latest

Hi there,
This is the beginning of the Working Nine to Five Mountain bike race. I just wanted to make a quick post to let people know what is going on here.

The race is to celebrate the life of Brett Jarolimek a close friend of mine who's life was cut short in October 2007. While riding his bike on North Interstate Ave, he was struck by a garbage truck and killed. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Brett Jarolimek Memorail Fund that promotes bike awareness and safety.

The race is going to be an 8 hour format and will be held on a 13-15 mile loop.

The course location is still being scouted. It is VERY important to me that the course be #1 fun and #2 close to Portland. I've got some ideas, but don't want to let the cat out of the bag quite yet.

So mark your calenders August 9th. And feel free to contact me with any questions or suggestions (matt at signalcycles dot com). You could also leave a comment if you like.

Thanks,
Matt Cardinal
